How we deliver your purchases

Our shipping policy varies according to your type of order and various factors which may affect it.

Delivery and receipt of your order during COVID-19 pandemic

Due to remote working of staff and disruption to postal services, there could be a slight delay in delivery. Please bear with us during this time, we’ll keep you informed at each stage of your order.
For secure mail, you will not be required to sign on receipt, but instead the name of the person accepting delivery will be logged.

Personalised Registrations

For vehicle registrations which have never been issued by the DVLA (Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency), we offer both self service and a transfer service where our private registrations team will transfer your new vehicle registration mark on to your vehicle for you. We only offer a transfer service for registrations which have been previously issued by the DVLA.

If using our transfer service, we allow 3 weeks for you to send us all correct requested documentation which will allow us to process your order, and successfully transfer your new vehicle registration mark onto to you.

Please expect the overall documentation and shipping process to be between 3-5 weeks.

Transfer service

If you opt for our transfer service, you will receive your registration within 7-14 working days upon receipt of the requested required information which will allow us to transfer the registration mark over to you.

Self service

Delivery of previously unissued (never been assigned to a vehicle by the DVLA) vehicle registration marks will be within 10 working days from when we receive the relevant documentation from the DVLA.


We love simplicity here at Cars GT, and in that view we offer a single document postage option which is both fast and secure (signature required on receipt).

We will use all reasonable measures to ensure delivery times are met, but cannot be held responsible for delays by third parties or due to circumstances beyond our control, such as (but not limited to) poor weather conditions.

Still not received your registration?

If you do not receive your registration within the specified time frame, please contact us at [email protected] providing your order details and we’ll track it down.

Please note, delivery timescales are in working days (Monday-Friday only). Please allow the full amount of time stated for receipt of your registration before getting in touch.

In the unfortunate event your order is lost or damaged, we’ll refund or replace any affected items free of charge.
